What do you love most about your job?
The people. The DavCo force knows how to laugh together, work hard and support each other well.
Tell us about a work-related success story that you’re proud of.
In each of the roles I’ve had, being able to keep things organized, moving the right direction and on time when it’s very busy or someone is out of the office makes me feel great.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
In no particular order: lettering/calligraphy, playing piano, adventures with friends, family, traveling, eating food, trying a new project.
What’s something surprising that not many people know about you?
Three truths and a lie:
- I’ve never been pulled over for speeding
- I took tap dance lessons
- I have never gone fishing
- I auditioned at music colleges
Do you follow any sports teams?
If hearing all the Philly games being discussed in depth in the sales office is considered following sports teams, then yes.
What are some of your favorite local spots to visit?
My family’s houses. Fox Meadows or any other local ice cream place in Lanc Co. Sight & Sound Theatres.
What’s something that you’ve always wanted to try or learn?
I love learning, so the list is too long to list. Fly a plane. Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody in C# minor. Woodworking. Paint a large-scale mural or window display. A second language.
Tell us about a personal success story that you’re proud of.
I bought a house. That was scary.
How has your role evolved since you joined DavCo?
I have had three roles: Design Project Coordinator, Preflight Specialist, and now Sales Admin Assistant. Each has progressed in levels of responsibility, the work DavCo does and interaction with our clients.
What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on and why?
Most recently I visited Greece. Delicious food, cool history, lovely countryside. It was an all-around good time. The beach is my go-to. Love to relax, in the sun or water. OBX all the way.
What’s your favorite memory from working at DavCo?
At the first design department meeting they welcomed me aboard and one coworker gave me a rubber duck with a note on it. I sat the duck on the edge of my cube. Someone thought it looked lonely and brought a second one. A third one appeared. And then people started to think I collect ducks and brought me more. Makes me laugh every time. I now have 17.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
Hope. Or peanut butter. With chocolate.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be?
Africa. I also would like to visit all the national parks in the US.
What does your typical day at DavCo look like?
I started to spell it out, but it’s a lot of details. Which is a good descriptor of my job. Details.
Anything else you’d like to add?
Sorry, they were all true!
